How to choose a power cord for surveillance?

Let's take a look at the monitored adapter currents

Ordinary gun or dome: the working current is about 200~300mA you can choose 500MA-1A power supply.

Integrated camera: the working current is about 350~400mA can choose 1A power supply.

Small medium-sized infrared camera: working current is 600-700mA can choose 1A power supply.

Large infrared camera: working current 1000MA-1200mA can choose 2A power supply.

Monitoring can be powered individually or multiple centrally. If multiple monitoring is centrally powered, the current required is the sum of multiple monitoring head currents.

Category V or Category V or more unshielded twisted-pair cable as a monitoring power supply line, you can simplify the wiring, but you need to ensure that the power supply transmitted to meet the requirements of the equipment. Such as equipment operating power is 10-12VDC, the current is 500MA, twisted-pair internal resistance of 10Ω/100 meters (oxygen-free copper to measure the actual use of 100m for 9.53Ω), if the power supply is transmitted 12VDC, taking into account the distance voltage attenuation, to ensure that the use of equipment is normal, the transmission of the power line within 150 meters.

According to the power size of the terminal, the general power of the fixed gun machine is not more than 10W, infrared gun machine is generally not more than 20W, ball machine is about 35W . Simply from the power, RVV2 * 0.5 line is enough, the national standard 0.5 line can take about 1KW load.

For long distance, considering the attenuation, it is recommended to use not less than 1.0 wire. If the number of monitoring is small (generally 3 units or less) and the interval between the camera and the monitoring host is close (less than 30 meters), each camera can be a single high-voltage power supply line to the monitoring room and use a small transformer power supply.

If the number of monitoring is large, a high-power 12V DC regulated power supply should be adopted to centralize the power supply.
